True Scientific units are specifically designed to operate within a narrow temperature range, provide superior temperature uniformity and stability within the entire cabinet as emphasized by CDC guidelines and NSF 456 standard for vaccine refrigerators.
Changes in temperature, especially freezing and thawing, can have a drastic impact on vaccines, laboratory samples, and clinical products. It is critical that products requiring refrigeration are stored in a unit that has minimal temperature variation (stability) and has consistent temperatures throughout the cabinet (uniformity) to assure all your stored products remain safe and secure.

Stability & Uniformity
Temperature Stability: Average stability is 0.7C providing fewer deviations from the setpoint and avoiding rapid, significant changes in cabinet temperature. Our responsive control system enables quick recovery after door openings, with a peak variance of only 3.2C.
Temperature Uniformity: Expertly designed air circulation and refrigeration systems drive temperature uniformity through the cabinet within +/- 1C eliminating hot and cold spots that could put your contents at risk.
Temperature control displays show the temperature set point and actual cabinet temperature in a supplied glycol-filled bottle (also known as simulated temperature), ensuring that your sample are properly monitored. Control has alarms for high and low temperature, door ajar, power failure and temperature probe failure.

Hydrocarbon Natural Refrigerant R290
All True Scientific refrigeration systems are designed with R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant, which has superior thermodynamic properties and a low impact on the environment. R290 is high refined propane that is nontoxic, has no ozone-depleting properties and offers low global warming potential making it one of the most climate -friendly and cost-effective refrigerants. It is safe, environmentally friendly alternative for hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) refrigerants R13a and R404a. R13a and R404a HFC refrigerants have extremely high Global Warming Potential (GWP) that is harmful to the environment. GWP is the relative measure of how much heat a greenhouse gas traps in the atmosphere. The lower the GWP, the better a substance is for the environment. By comparison, R290 Hydrocarbon has a very minimal GWP.
R290’s heat capitance is approximately 90% greater than R13a and 140% greater than R404a, allowing it to absorb more heat faster and resulting in quicker temperature recovery and lower energy consumption by 15-30%,

Self-Cleaning Condenser Technology
To further increase energy efficiency, True’s patented Reverse Condensing Fan Motor technology, reverses the direction of the condensing fan for 20 seconds at each compressor start up to remove excess debris from the interior and surface of the condensing coil which keeps your unit operating at peak efficiency, increases reliability and durability while extending unit life. Self-Cleaning Condenser Technology can also reduce energy consumption by as much as 20%, lowering operating costs over time.
Sustainable Foam: Foamed in place, CFC-free, polyurethane, high-density insulation that provides unparalleled protection strength, rigidity, and increase to an already industry-exceeding insulation factor, with zero ozone depletion potential (ODP) and zero GWP.
